Conventions of a Advertismet

Advertisements are usually called billboards. They usually included:

  • A logo
  • Title which stands out
  • Clear large image
  • Good layout
  • Date of release
  • Subheadings
  • Easy to read

  •

All of these images have all the conventions I listed above however this image below, the killers advert shows a motif not a picture, most indie and rock bands do things like this.

    Conventions of Digi Packs

This is a demonstration on how a digi pack should look and work .

The images which are placed on a digi pack change depending on the gender of the artists or band, the genre of music and the target audience.

These images are all different types of Digi packs all for pop artists who are all women. They all have close up images of the women on the front cover. They all display the songs which feature on the album on th eback of the cd. They also all have a barcode and name of artit repeated all over the cover.

I have created a survey and asked several people to answer it. The questions are:
    1. Do you watch music videos? 2. Where do you watch them? 3. What genres do you listen to and Why? 4. What would genre or artist would you recommend to others and why? 5. Who is your favourite artist or band and why 6. What would encourage to watch a music video? 7. Do you enjoy abstract or narrative music videos? 8. What music video did you last watch? 9. What did you enjoy about your last video? 10. What artist and genre was the last music video you watched?

The following print screens show the answers of the people I asked, they was very mixed however was very helpful.
